Masada

Waiting not so patiently for the light and sound show, great anticipation, lots of buses and outsiders where filling the seats!

A highlight of the whole trip that's for sure!
Eylon found the best, last place infront of the valley with a cool breeze and luckily we found the tent was under the great shade of the masada during the morning, so no burning sun! Which meant we could enjoy a slow cook up of tea and of-course classic shashuka for breakfest!

Farod Music Festival 2009

After some 2 hours driving and "are we there yet?" we finally arrive at Farod's Festival, basking in the late afternoon glow, perfect timing

Where ever I lay my tent is my home...
So nice meeting up with kibbutz kids, only to find they're nolonger kids but have kids themselves!! Hanging out with the crowd still after all these years
but still we decide to go on to Nahal Amood

Morning was easy and slow we just hung around till it was obviously too hot to trek, oh well another lazy hammock day.

So on our way to somewhere, we drop in Nahal Ziv
Water was soooo cold but soooo good, i was the only one i think who went shoulder deep, if the water doesn't reach there, it ain't "worth a swing"

Ein Akev - Succot

Climbing the forbidden night-snake path... in the morning is just not the same, maybe next year they'll decide to change it back again and allow the climb under moonlight :)

A real Tolkien wonderland.

Standing on the summit bathing in the morning haze was stunning!
What can I say from a feeble non-walker, it was worth it.

Just to show where we camped in this amazing no-where place, you see the small cars on the bottom of the pic? Yep thats where we pitched under a full moon!! :)
